Plate XII — Synthesis
Structural intent
Show coherent integration: multiple geometric principles co-exist under a higher-order organizing rule. The result is structured unity, not visual clutter.
What must be observable
- Presence of at least 2–3 prior principles (e.g., symmetry + repetition + threshold).
- A dominant organizing rule that keeps the scene legible (primary axis or center).
- Hierarchy: one governing structure with subordinate patterns.
- Clean transitions between substructures (no chaotic overlap).
Common failure modes
- “Everything at once” without hierarchy (becomes noise).
- Multiple rules competing for dominance.
- Integration only implied, not structurally visible.
- Composition too busy to verify any principle clearly.
UI / system translation (non-symbolic)
- Use for “system overview” and unified dashboards.
- In UI: layered information architecture with strict hierarchy and consistent tokens.
- In system terms: integration contracts, interface boundaries, and top-level orchestration.
- QA: verify which principles are present and name the governing rule (axis/center/hierarchy).
